MUKAVA TAVATA

Ceramics for gatherings

The value of having friends and loved ones around is unmissable to life. Having a meaningful life is very closely connected to the moments you can share with loved ones. Mukava Tavata (translates: nice to meet you) refers to a time in my life in which this became very clear to me, as I was having one of the happiest periods of my life in the Finnish Mukkula.

Working with clay is something I got introduced to in 2009 and reconnected with in 2014 where it served me to unwind while hosting workshops for lessabled people.

The touch of the clay is an excellent method to allow my brain to stop and unwind and be in the moment. Playing with the glaze and it's scientifically (sometimes challenging) features is calling for my imagination. Creating handmade ceramics was my relaxation and grew into the business of a ceramic shop.

Being able to share the joy of getting together with loved ones over the pottery has been an absolute pleasure.
